I look into the New Year with open eyes, and a guarded heart. 2014 has been a year filled with moments that were both happy and sad. And I am so grateful for each of those moments!
2014 taught me many things about myself, and I value the lessons I’ve learned. The wisdom gained has enabled me to see the possibilities ahead. My faith has strengthened me and provided me with the courage to face my fears, and most importantly, it has taught me that no matter how dark the days may be, the light will always come. I found my spirit and I can’t wait to see what it holds for me in 2015.
This year taught me to fiercely love myself – and life – and never regret anything, because we experience many things in order to learn more about who we are. In everything we do, we grow. Growth has been important throughout the year and I feel that I have grown not only in age (25) – body, but also in mind. Envision and declare – profess. Say it Loud and Proud – from your mouth to God’s ears.
With 2015 only moments away, I usher in the year with a blank canvass that I will paint my masterpiece on.
This is my favourite scripture reading I wanted to share with you all. It helped me through some of my toughest moments in 2014, and gave me the will to follow through.
A psalm of David. (Psalm 23: 1-6 NIV)
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
I wish you a blessed and prosperous New Year!
