Be bold. Be brilliant. Happy New Year everyone!! January has marked the start of an amazing chapter in this 365 page book that we have all started writing.

2015. Hello!!!

This year is going to a year of creative and personal growth for me as I set out to rule the world (JOKING!). But on a real note, this year is going to be a great year because it has started out as such. Being surrounded by my whole family has heightened the expectations of the year ahead because we have never celebrated a New Year together in over 10 years due to distance. But this year, we spent it together…and to cap it off, we had a family photo-shoot arranged by my niece to set the tone of the year.The symbolism of the photo shoot has marked the beginning of the year in front of the camera lens – CAMERA. LIGHTS. SMILES. In my opinion, it denotes the importance of catching as many moments as we can on camera and most importantly, making those moments camera worthy. Moments captured will not only be #bold but they will also be #brilliant!

BE BOLD. BE BRILLIANT. This is my mantra which will help me fulfil what I have envisioned for myself for 2015. I  look forward to boldly embracing everything I love and making those moments count in the most brilliant way possible. Capturing it on camera will allow me to remember and think back fondly on the moments that have slowly started to make up this year. What does being #bold and #brilliant mean?

synonyms: bright, intelligent, cleaver, smart, astute, intellectual …etc.

This year will bring challenges but I look forward to every moment because I see at it as an opportunity of growth and a chance to learn more about what I am capable of and who I am. Thinking of what I can do will not get me where I want to go. I have to believe that I am capable of so much more when I strive forward in the knowledge that God’s watching and guarding over me. I must and need to place my faith in him, because with him, all things are possible. It’s a simple thing! The possibilities are endless my friends, and that is the important lesson I learned last year that I am taking into the New Year with me. Trust in him and all is possible. Don’t limit yourself to what you can see, but believe in what you can’t see. Take chances and leap into faith! Trust in God and in yourself. (I know I sound like a preacher but I am just sharing what I have learned!)

The year just started and I have a blank slate – a start over – a canvas – that I am slowly painting on. I am slowly selecting my paints and collecting my brushes because this is my year to be bold in my decision-making and life choices. This is my time to be perfectly imperfect and be brilliant at it. Why?! Because if I don’t take the chance to discover who I am meant to be, then I will always be filled with regret. I purposely choose to live my life regret-free because I can’t live in the past! It’s done, it’s over and I can’t change it; but, I do have control of my present and future and I can do something about that! A track that really resonates with me is “Masterpiece” by Jessie J. She is one definition of a bold and brilliant artist and I’ve been listening to her stuff from the beginning. This recommended track right here is a must-listen-to jam because she sings the truth and I love her for it.
Be Bold. Be Brilliant. Trust in yourself and trust in The Lord to make your dreams a reality. To see all your possibilities through. Thing big. Think BOLD. Think BRILLIANT. And most importantly, capture every moment in front of a lens. 2015 should be an interesting year in just about everything I do: Work, Life, Love. I am really excited for the upcoming opportunities that I can’t wait to share with you.
