I had only really watched a few episodes here and there and had heard people talking about it, and what I had heard, wasn’t enough to catch my interest at the time. However, with the lockdowns in full effect and having watched every Marvel movie out there, I decided to give the series a try, after much persuasion.

“Give it a chance. It is a little slow at first but just wait” … and so I did. By Episode 7 … I’m sitting eagerly to catch the next one because the storylines are juicy … and Idris. Although I personally prefer older Idris.

Based in Baltimore, this police drama is worth it. Watching it, and now being in the thick of it, I see why it was such a good show and agree with the many reviews I have read, including this one. This show not only had a stellar cast, but it also launched and propelled the careers of many black actors who have been in the game for a while (10+ years) – like Michael K Williams, Idris Elba and Sonja Sohn.  Thank you Crave for keeping me, and many entertained!
