James Bay‘s sound is so pure that it’s hard not to appreciate. His vocals and his simple set up – lights and band – literally transport you to that moment where you first fell in love with him. You remember why you fell in love and the emotions – good or bad – that he brought to the surface.
We – the audience – sang backup vocals all night as he played the Chaos And The Calm album. It was one of the few shows that I have gone to that I saw people actually appreciating and being in the moment, as opposed to seeing the performance through their mobile screens. Everyone was just too enraptured by him.The evening which was beautiful. His supporting act – Joseph was just as impeccable and I can see why they were invited to open for him.
If you haven’t listened to his music yet … drop everything you are doing and get on iTunes or Spotify now! That is an order! He sounds amazing live, and I would recommend that if he is coming to a city near you – GO! You will not regret the decision or the evening. Just pure class!
