While social distancing, keeping the mind and body stimulated has been super high on my list of priorities. As I am sure, parents finding ways to entertain their kids indoors and couples in confinement not driving each other crazy have been on the lists of others.
One way that I am keeping both my mind and body stimulated is taking the time to go outside and walk for at least 1hr, followed by a home workout routine.
Youtube has been an amazing FREE resource with some awesome subscriptions to some badass trainers and channels. Below are some channels I have been loving that have been kicking my butt into maintenance, because YOU KNOW, coming out of this, I need to be healthy! Let’s forget optics for now.
And some other awesome subscriptions you can add onto the above list, and that you should take advantage of are:
- Sweat – enjoy a 30-day free trial and then decide if you want to keep it going or not. There are some amazing women with badass bodies (even post-pregnancy that I’m envious off). Kayla Itsines makes it look like a walk in the park!
- Peloton – until April 30, you can sign up for a 90-day trial (bike not mandatory) as they have awesome classes that you can do from your living room.
Keeping on top of the exercise has been important for me because I have gained some unhealthy weight, and acknowledging and knowing this has been the driving force for my stepping into a more regimented healthy routine – gym or no gym – and pushing my body and loving the aches. The body aches make me feel resilient, and make the process of working towards the goal of a healthy and better body that much sweeter!
And even more important, is what I put into my body. But, I will save that for another time, as there are some amazing recipes that I will be sharing very soon!
Until then, do you have any recommendations for workout classes? What are you doing at home to stay healthy? Do you love the aches you are feeling?
