Being stranded in Maui and staying at the recently renovated Residence Inn by Marriott Maui Wailea was just something bad that could have happened to anyone. Thank you Westjet! We were all ready to go and then due to unforeseen circumstances, our flight was cancelled and we got re-booked for a flight a day and a half later. Therefore, making good use of the weather and not to pass up a photo-op, I decided that a poolside photo-shoot was in order!
I am not the luckiest when it comes to bathing suits, but when I found this one, I felt on top of the world. Offering ample support (as a fuller bosom lady), as well as making me look like a minx, this bathing suit was made for me! The neon peach just made me feel every bit woman and I loved it. In my opinion, anything neon is not only attention-grabbing, but it highlights and flatters your best assets. It can be worn as a complementary colour with another textured fabric, ie. denim shorts or a white cotton shirt; or by itself as I did.
I found this suit and many others at Winners over the months and they are not only supportive but also flattering and that is what a woman needs in a bathing suit. It hugged me (obviously) in all the right places and I felt like a million bucks in it! I have previously talked about my body and how once my self-esteem was so low until I decided to make a change to my lifestyle. That choice of deciding to make my health a priority so that I would feel great FOR ME was and continues to be the driving force for my confidence. As a woman, taking care of self is very important and before you can fully take care of someone else, you come first – I come first. I come first because I need to be healthy and in a good space to be able to do what I need to do for the next person – be it my mom, sister or brother.
Do you struggle with finding bathing suits that fit you properly? Where do you go shopping?
