I took a nap this afternoon. I had been fighting it, but as soon as I curled up into a foetal position, with the weight of the duvet on me, it was lights out.
I have been reading Why We Sleep by Matthew Walker, and if you haven’t read it, you should give it a chance! Quantity of time awake and working does not always yield better quality of work in most cases. Fact. Sleep is essential in order to function. The book gives some easy to follow tips to get to sleep easier, which is something I have been struggling with over the last little while. As a result, I have been trying a few things, so that I get my sleep back to normal. If you suffer from sleep deprivation, insomnia, or anything like that … read this book. Matthew did a TED Talk in 2019, which I’ve included below for you to check out.
With a little soul music playing in the background, I changed back into my pajamas and it was an amazing feeling. How many of you since social distancing began, have enjoyed a Sunday nap? Do you nap? If you don’t nap, why not? Do you have trouble sleeping? What do you do to get back to sleep?
