Time is fleeting.
The last few months years have convulsed into a blurry haze and it did a number on me. And as a result, my blog and content suffered an insurmountable hit. Winter gave us an extra hour, and we relished the moments of staying in bed longer and staying up later while socializing with friends. For me, I thought I’d have more time to create content. I was wrong. With spring, losing an hour means saying bye-bye to sleep and being more mindful of the fact that daylight hours are longer, so we need to use those hours efficiently so that we can pack a punch every day. I AM.
There is nothing new about this, but if you sit on your ass and watch the days go by, you will regret the moments that passed later. SO GET UP OFF YOUR ASS! Only you have the control to get things done and you have to decide what you want for yourself before you get to that place of regret.
What do you want to do? What’s stopping you? The fear of the unknown is a powerful deterrent, but you have to push through it. Easier said than done, I know. But, do the thing that you fear most anyway. Promise to give yourself the time of day because you deserve every moment in this lifetime to walk in your purpose.
I woke up today and decided that today I’d start living again. For me. I breathed in the fresh air. I cooked and felt alive. I sat down and did some writing.
I’m working on more self-care and being more self-aware. There is a reason for my being here. My purpose for breathing, for living, for everything … is bigger than myself. I’m going to make the most of the time I have doing the things I love. Wearing my favorite Madewell jeans – the High-Rise Skinny Jeans in Danny Wash and my Daniel Wellington timepiece, I stepped into daylight savings in true style, walking in my purpose.
Will you join me? What will you be doing with your extra hour of daylight?
